Working Families Lobby Corps 2026: Roaring and Ready in Tallahassee!

The 2026 Legislative Session is upon us, and Florida’s working families are ready to fight! The WFLC had amazing success during the past legislative session. We’ve stopped the elimination of critical child labors protections, protected the minimum wage, preserved our remaining collective bargaining rights and more. But these bills are coming back, and we will have to fight even harder against a more determined big business lobby and network of billionaire funded right-wing think tanks to protect what we can. In addition, this year, we’re not just playing defense. We will also be pushing for new and proactive policies to reverse the damage done to our public schools, expand worker protections, and support policies for good economic development. We’re excited to have our citizen activists back in the halls of power in Tallahassee to make this happen!

This year’s session is scheduled to run from Tuesday, January 13th to Friday, March 13th, 2026. From the first day all the way to Sine Die, the official adjournment, members of the Working Families Lobby Corps are the voice standing up for Florida’s working people.

As a member of the Working Families Lobby Corps, you will spend a week in Tallahassee speaking up for Florida’s working families. Members can look forward to

  • Learning the ins and outs of Florida’s legislative process! Regardless of experience, we will help you understand everything from the committee process and bill filing to the details in the governor’s signature.
  • Meeting with their elected officials to give their direct perspective on the important issues such as healthcare, immigration, wages, AI, and so much more.
  • Becoming empowered to bring the fight for working people back to their communities, and solidarity with their fellow working people.

Members should expect to travel on Sundays, in anticipation of Monday morning committee meetings. Legislative briefings will depend on scheduled committees/legislation. Morning briefings will continue as usual from Tuesday through Thursday.

The Working Families Lobby Corps has been the premier program fighting back against legislation that harms working people. Click here to sign up to join the 2026 Working Families Lobby Corps.
